Book Reviews – Learning and Leisure

read a lot!!!  I love books.  I love getting lost in a story.  And I love learning and growing from what I read.  Writing book reviews was at the top of my list when I first considered my blog.

My mom, my sisters, and I constantly share book ideas, so I decided to do the same here. This would be a perfect space to share my favorite books as a supplement to all my other posts. Not every review will be about parenting, but as a mom, I enjoy every book I get to read. 

My taste in book genres ranges, but I also call it somewhat specific.  I love murder mysteries with a strong lady lead.  And I love to grow my worldview with social justice work and parenting advice books.  I ensure that every third book I read is written by an author of color or someone from a background different from mine.  

Over time, I will need to branch off this post into more specific spaces for each group of books I review. But for now, I will gather my reviews here for easy access.
